Cords across a bedroom floor are a falls hazard in their own right, which is an awkward problem when the equipment is there to prevent falls. This transmitter takes the cord out of the picture.
It connects to a Cura1 Universal bed pad, chair pad or floor mat and sends the alert wirelessly to a compatible monitor, pager or multiport expander. That means the monitor can sit at the nurse station or in a carer’s pocket while the sensor stays with the client, and nothing runs across the walkway between them.
The alarm resets automatically when your client returns to the bed or chair, or can be cleared from the console, so staff are not walking back to the room to silence it. A status LED confirms at a glance that the unit is live, and the battery is designed to run for a long stretch before replacement.
