A bed pad that has slid halfway down the mattress is not monitoring anyone. This set of bands and clips holds the pad where it was positioned, so the sensor stays under the part of the bed your client actually lies on.
It is a small fix for a problem that quietly undermines falls monitoring in residential settings, where beds are made and remade daily and pads creep out of place. Securing the pad also cuts nuisance alarms caused by pad movement when the person has not moved.
The bands fit around the mattress and the clips hold the pad edge, so there is nothing adhesive and nothing left behind when the pad is changed.
