For a client who is unsafe standing from a chair, a seat sensor buys the seconds a carer needs. This SafeTime pad does that, and it also tells you when it is due to be replaced.

An electronic timer inside the pad counts down its working life. Once that life is up, a compatible Cura1 monitor displays a change pad notification, so an expired pad does not sit in service unnoticed. That is a practical benefit for support coordinators and facility managers who have to prove a falls prevention system is being maintained.

In use, it sits on the seat of a lounge chair or wheelchair under a cover and raises the alarm when the client’s weight lifts off. You can choose the working life to suit how often the chair is occupied.
