Transfers in and out of a Configura Comfort are much easier when the arm of the chair is not in the way. This dropdown armrest lowers clear of the seat so slings can be positioned and removed at seat level, and a client who transfers sideways can move across without being lifted over the arm.
It can be fitted to whichever side suits the client and the room. When it is up it works as a normal arm, giving support for resting the forearms and something to push down on when the person is standing or shifting their weight.
For care teams this is often the difference between a one person assisted transfer and a more involved one, so it is worth considering wherever hoisting happens daily.
