The Comfi-Grip Buff Sponge is a long handled washing aid for a client who can shower on their own as long as they do not have to bend or twist to reach. The handle brings the back, feet and lower legs within reach, standing or seated.
One face of the head is a textured buff material for light exfoliation, the other a plain soft sponge for general washing, so it covers both jobs without swapping tools. The polypropylene handle has a rubberised contoured grip that stays secure when wet, which is usually what decides whether a client with reduced grip strength can use a bathing aid at all. The handle is also heat shapeable: soften it under hot water or a hair dryer, bend it to the angle the client needs, and let it cool to hold that shape.
It suits a client with restricted shoulder range, a hip precaution after joint replacement, or limited trunk flexion who wants to wash independently.
