About this product

Some clients cannot hold their feet back on a footplate, and the leg drifts forward or the heel slips off during a shower or a transfer. This calf support adds a padded band behind the calf together with a foot support, so the lower leg is held in a settled position for the whole session.

It is supplied as a left or a right part, which lets you support one leg only where that is all the client needs, or order a pair for symmetrical positioning. It does not fit the Ocean range, so check the frame you are prescribing for before ordering.

Holding the leg steady makes showering and toileting safer for the carer as well, because the foot stays where it was placed and the client is less likely to push themselves out of the chair.
