The Synthesis is Broda’s rehab positioning chair, and this version comes with the Acute Care Configuration package fitted. In that package the seat, back and lower leg supports are wrapped in vinyl to match the upholstery, so there are no exposed seams or crevices to trap fluid. It is built for wards, hospitals and any setting where the chair is cleaned and disinfected between users.
Tilt and recline are both available and are set by the carer, which covers pressure relief, repositioning and rest without moving the client out of the chair. Seat width, depth and height are specified to the client, and the leg supports raise and lower.
The package also brings lower extremity support with calf and foot cushions, so the legs are held and supported.
