An ordinary positioning belt in a shower holds water, stays damp between uses and sits wet against bare skin. The Bodypoint Aeromesh Rapid-Dry Bath Belt is built for the bathroom instead. The Aeromesh fabric lets water and air pass straight through it, so the belt sheds water and dries in a couple of hours.
It steadies the pelvis or trunk on a shower chair, bath chair or commode, and it can be fitted across the knees or legs where lower limb control is the problem. The fabric is soft against skin, which counts when the client is undressed and being moved.
This is the one-piece version, with side-release buckles so the whole belt comes off for cleaning. The hardware is chosen to survive wet use: stainless steel grommets, oversized D-rings that are easier to hook with wet hands, and plastic side-release buckles. Mounting is either through screw-in grommets or plastic slides depending on the frame, and a quick-release knob is available as an option. Two-piece versions are offered as well if you want the belt to split at the buckle.
