A tall client in a standard care bed ends up with their feet over the end of the mattress platform, which is uncomfortable and makes positioning hard. This extension bolts to the foot of the bed and lengthens the platform so a longer mattress fits properly.

It is a metal frame in a cream finish, supplied knocked down for assembly, and it stays with the bed for as long as the client needs the extra length. The bed keeps its normal function once the extension is on, so profiling and height adjustment carry on as before.

For referrers, this is often the simplest fix when the client suits the bed in every other way and only the length is wrong.
