Heels and elbows take the brunt of pressure and shear for anyone spending long stretches in bed or in a chair. These protectors wrap around the limb and hold a soft polymer gel pad over the bony point, spreading load and cushioning the skin against rubbing on sheets and armrests.
The wrap around design with a full gel closing strap and hook and loop fastening means a carer can fit them quickly and take them off for skin checks without disturbing the client. They suit clients with fragile or already compromised skin, including skin tears, and anyone on a pressure injury prevention plan who needs cover at the extremities. They are not made with natural rubber latex.
