About this product

Some rooms have nothing to hold onto in the place a client most needs it: beside the bed, next to a recliner, or in the middle of a bathroom where there is no stud to fix to. The Able Life Floor To Ceiling Grab Bar puts a full height pole and support handle wherever the floor and ceiling are flat and firm.

It is tension mounted, so no screws or bolts go into the building. That is the reason it comes up so often for clients in rental properties, in retirement villages, and in short term or respite placements where permanent modification is not allowed. It can be taken down and moved if the client’s needs change or they relocate.

The handle gives a point to pull on when rising and a steady hold while turning or waiting for balance to settle. The pole needs a flat ceiling, so it is not suited to vaulted or panelled ceilings, and it cannot be used in a bath or shower.
