This Body Support lifts a client under the arms and around the thighs on a rigid frame, leaving the back and seat entirely open. Personal care, toileting and dressing can all be done with the client held upright and supported, which keeps a long care routine seated and dignified.
Who it suits
It suits clients with some trunk control who tolerate being held under the arms, and particularly clients working toward independent transfers: many operate the lift themselves once the supports are set. The arms are 316 stainless steel with polyurethane hands, a grade chosen for wet rooms and frequent cleaning, so it stands up to bathrooms and shared facilities.
The self locking thigh supports tighten under the client’s weight and let go as the weight lifts off. Supplied without leg supports and with hooks and a fixation band, it fits Handi-Move mobile hoists and ceiling motors. Size selection is clinical work and worth doing hands on before the plan is written.
