The Frontier V4 Urban RWD is for the client who wants to get out and keep going. Rear wheel drive tracks straight and stays steady at speed, so a trip to the shops, along a waterfront path or across town is comfortable rather than a series of corrections.
Urban tyres keep the chair narrow enough for indoor use, and all-wheel suspension smooths out the kerbs and broken footpaths in between. When the client wants more, a tyre change to crossover or off-road wheels lifts it to all-terrain capability without touching the rest of the chair. Magic Mobility has been designing and building these chairs in Melbourne since 1994, and they meet Australian Standard 3696 and ISO 7176.
Seating is built on an adjustable seat pan that accepts Magic Mobility rehab seating or an aftermarket system, with a full range of legrest options and R-Net electronics. Tie-down points are crash test compliant. The motors are splash resistant but not waterproof, so the chair must not be driven into water, rivers, creeks or the sea. Product brochures and the owner’s manual are available on request.
