madita is the classroom and dining table chair. It gives a child a stable, upright base to work from, and it adjusts far enough that one chair follows them from toddler age into their teens.
The seat tilts on a lever, back through to a relaxed reclined position, and the height adjusts to meet whatever table the child is at. For a child working on trunk control, the backrest unit lifts off entirely, which puts the back and trunk muscles to work instead of doing the job for them. Thoracic supports, a pelvic belt and an adjustable headrest and footrest cover the children who need more holding, and a push handle with a choice of castor sizes moves the chair around the room. A therapy table is available. Schuchmann put madita at GMFCS levels III to V.
If you need the seat to drop right down to floor play height, madita-fun is the model with that range.
