The E600 is for the client at the top of the risk scale, including those already carrying a deep injury that needs active offloading rather than a surface that simply spreads load. Its alternating cycle deflates every second cell in turn, so no part of the body stays loaded for long.
Two design choices make it easier to live with. The head section stays static, which keeps the client’s head and shoulders steady while the rest of the surface works, and a static cell region in the base guards against bottoming out under the heaviest areas. Cells are self-sealing, so a cell can be changed or an area offloaded without draining the system, which matters when the mattress has to keep working while it is being serviced.
It ships with the EP10AU pump, so there is nothing else to order to make it a dynamic system. That combination makes it a sensible fit for surgical, acute and higher-dependency settings, and for home care where the client is immobile and the risk is real.
