The Grillo is a gait trainer for a person who can take steps with support but cannot manage a frame or a walker on their own. Independent pelvic and thoracic supports hold the body where it needs holding, so the user can put attention into walking while the frame looks after staying upright.
Who it suits
Children and adults across a broad range of trunk control, from someone who needs full containment at the pelvis and chest to someone who only needs a light guide. Four frame sizes cover small children through to adults, and the height adjustment keeps the centre of balance consistent as the frame grows with a child.
Multifunction wheels give the clinician control over how hard the frame is to move: braking can be dialled up for a user who runs away from the frame, and anti-rollback stops it sliding backwards during a step. Handles, push handles, seats, harnesses and thigh dividers add or come off without tools, so the set-up can change as therapy goals change.
