The Alrick Self Help Pole is the overhead trapeze made to fit the socket on the Staebel EN7 floorline bed. It mounts to the bed frame rather than the floor, so it travels with the bed through the full height and tilt range and stays where the client expects it.
An adjustable strap carries a triangle handle the client pulls on to lift their hips, roll, or move up the bed. For a client with reasonable upper limb strength who cannot bridge or roll with their legs alone, after lower limb surgery, with paraplegia, or with one-sided weakness after a stroke, it turns a two-person reposition into something they can start themselves, and it cuts the pull a carer has to give. It is Australian made and fits into the EN7 socket without tools.
It is not the aid for a client with weak shoulders and grip, or one over the safe working load. The bariatric self help pole, or a bed rail and slide sheet approach, will serve them better.
