For a client who sits longer than a quick toilet visit, or who has thin skin and bony prominences, a padded seat is the difference between a tolerable shower and a skin problem.
This is the K Care handmade padded seat in the standard width with an open front, in blue vinyl. The foam pad sits in a waterproof cover that is anti fungal, anti bacterial, flame retardant and abrasion tested, so it holds up to daily washing. Pan carrier runners are fitted underneath, so a commode pan slides in from the front, and the open front gives access for personal hygiene and catheter care.
Like every K Care commode seat it clips on and lifts off for cleaning or service, and it can be swapped for a closed front, side opening or hip replacement wedge seat if the client’s needs change. K Care sells commodes and seats separately for exactly that reason.
