These short foot supports solve that by giving a shorter footplate length range, so the client’s feet land flat and the thighs stay supported.

They swing sideways out of the path of a transfer, and the footplates have a rounded shape that is kinder on the shins when a carer is swinging them in and out. Height is adjustable on the frame in the usual way.

Sold as a pair. Worth trying with shorter clients too, where leg length is the limiting factor.
