A moulded plastic shower seat is cold to sit on and slippery when it is wet, and for an older client or someone with reduced sensation that combination puts them off using the seat at all. This soft pad clips onto the Etac Smart shower stool and fixes both problems.
It gives an immediate warm feeling on contact, which makes the seat far more inviting on a Tasmanian winter morning, and the surface is non-slip so the person stays put while they wash and turn. It is water resistant, so it does not hold moisture between showers.
The pad snaps on and comes off without tools, so it can be taken away, wiped over and put back by a carer as part of the normal bathroom routine. It is grey and suits the Smart stool.
