Thresholds, shower hobs and small ramps are where a carer pushing a loaded shower commode has to heave the front castors up, usually with bad body mechanics. The Etac tilter gives them a foot lever to do it with instead.
The carer steps on the lever, the front of the chair lifts, and the chair rolls over the obstacle without the carer bending or lifting through the back. It is sold complete with its bracket, so it can be added to a chair already in service.
Relevant anywhere the bathroom has a raised lip, or where the route to the bathroom crosses a door sill.
