Who it suits
The Pluo is an attendant propelled shower commode for a client who cannot transfer independently and needs to be showered and toileted from the one chair. The carer takes the person from the bedroom to the bathroom, over the toilet or into the shower, without a second transfer in between.
The push handle is shaped for the carer’s grip and set at a working height, and every castor has a total lock, so the chair holds still while the client is moved on and off. Armrests swing up out of the way, which clears the side for a slide board or a standing transfer, and the footrest slides to suit leg length.
The seat has a rear opening that makes cleaning and personal care easier from behind, and the removable bowl carries its own lid and handle for discreet disposal. Surfaces are smooth and corrosion resistant throughout, which is what keeps it serviceable in daily wet use. Gel seat overlays and self propelling rear wheels are available as accessories.
