Food that keeps escaping over the rim of the plate turns a meal into a frustration. The Incurve Plate Surround Guard clips around the edge of an ordinary plate and gives the client an inward curving wall to push food against.
That wall does two jobs. It stops food going over the side, and it gives cutlery something to work against so food can be scooped up cleanly. It suits clients with a tremor, reduced hand function, hemiplegia or vision loss, and anyone working on one handed eating with their OT.
It goes on and off quickly, so the same plate can be used with or without it depending on how the client is travelling that day.
