Buttons are one of the first things to go when hand function drops off. This button hook gives the person a way back: the shaped wire loop passes through the buttonhole, catches the button and draws it through, all from one hand.
It suits clients with hemiplegia, arthritis, reduced fine motor control or a single usable hand, and it is often the difference between dressing independently and waiting for someone to help with a shirt.
