Who it suits
The Monkey is an early years prone stander for a child from around nine months who is not yet weight bearing on their own. Prone standing at this age is about building bone density, keeping length through the hips, knees and ankles, and getting the chest into a position where breathing and digestion work better.
It is also about being upright with everyone else. The frame brings a child to eye level with siblings, peers and carers, which changes what they can join in with and gives a reason to stay in the frame long enough to get a therapeutic dose.
Positioning is handled by de rotational thoracic and pelvic straps with lateral support, symmetrical hip straps to hold midline, and a removable abduction block. The angle adjusts smoothly and can be changed while the child is in the frame, so you can start reclined and progress towards upright as tolerance builds.
The package includes the standing frame, activity frame, grab bar and sandals with raising blocks. Support surfaces are polyurethane with an antimicrobial agent.
