About this product

Therafin’s stainless steel flip-down abductor hardware is the mounting half of an abductor setup, for a client who needs their knees held apart while they are seated. The pad is ordered separately, so the hardware can be matched to whichever pad size and shape the therapist has chosen.

The hinge is low profile and heavy duty, with a push-button release that drops the pad out of the way for a transfer and locks it back in place afterwards. That is the part carers notice, because an abductor that cannot be moved quickly is one that gets left off.

Construction is anodised aluminium at the hinge with black coated stainless steel brackets, so it stands up to daily use and to cleaning. The bracket adjusts around the cushion, which means it can be fitted across a range of cushion thicknesses without packing or modification.
