About this product

Rolling to the edge of the bed, sitting up and standing is a sequence that gets harder with weak hips, poor trunk control or night time urgency. The Mobility Bed Rail gives a padded handle to pull against for all three stages of it.

Who it suits

It suits clients who transfer on their own or with light assistance and who need something to hold rather than something to stop them rolling out. The swing out bar pivots away from the bed to keep supporting the person as they turn and step, then swings back out of the way for bed making and carer access. A pouch on the side keeps the phone, remote and glasses within reach.

It straps to the bed frame and suits a traditional mattress base, not an adjustable bed. Mattress firmness matters here: a soft mattress that compresses at the edge can create an entrapment gap, so check the fit before handover.
