Who it suits
Clients at real risk of rolling out of bed who also want to get up on their own. The rail extends along the mattress to guard the side, and the same frame gives a stand assist handle at the point the client sits on the edge and pushes up.
Being able to set the length is what makes it useful across a caseload. A shorter setting covers the hips and leaves the bed open for a carer to work, a longer setting guards more of the side for someone who moves about a lot through the night. An organiser pouch holds the things a client would otherwise get up for.
It fits traditional beds inside its mattress thickness range and secures with a safety strap to the bed frame, and it is not for use on adjustable base beds. Soft mattresses create entrapment risk with any rail, so test the mattress before it is put into service.
