A round door knob asks for a firm grip and a twisting wrist, which is exactly what a client with arthritis, weak hands or reduced dexterity cannot give it. That one detail can close off a bathroom or a bedroom in their own house.
These covers stretch over the knob and add wing shaped tabs, so the door opens with the side of the hand, a forearm or a loose grip instead of a pinch and turn. Fitting takes no tools: wet the cover, stretch it over the knob and work it down until the knob is covered. The keyhole stays clear, so a door that locks still locks.

It is a low cost thing to test before committing a client to new lever handles. Check the hardware first, since they will not fit oval knobs or levers.
