For a client with painful feet, a leg wound, oedema or sensitive skin, the weight of a sheet and blanket can be enough to disturb sleep or interfere with a dressing. This cradle takes that weight off. It sits under the mattress and holds the bedding up in a tent over the lower legs and feet.
The height adjusts, so the clearance can be set to suit the client and reset later as swelling or a dressing changes. Fitting it takes a moment and no tools, and it comes out just as quickly when the bed needs making or the client is moving on.
It is light enough for a carer to handle alone and stable enough to stay put through normal bed movement.
