Tall clients run out of bed. A foam bolster fills the gap at the foot end so the mattress surface carries on and the feet stay supported at the end of the base.
It is a low cost way to make an existing bed work for someone who would otherwise be sleeping with their heels unsupported, which is worth checking whenever a client reports foot pressure, disturbed sleep or heels dropping off the mattress.
The foam holds its shape under load and sits in place under the bottom sheet, so there is nothing to fix to the bed and nothing a carer has to reset each morning.
