Clients being cared for in bed around the clock need to be moved in every direction, not just up the bed. The Staebel ComfortCare Bed Base Sheet is the base layer of an in bed sliding system that lets a carer turn, swivel, slide and sit a person up, then lock the position when they get there.
It is a two panel polycotton system with low friction inner linings and an integral locking panel, so a safe position can be secured even when the person is sitting. A single carer can manage the manoeuvres, and the client can stay on it indefinitely, either directly or under a cotton bed sheet.
That means repositioning happens without handling the person directly and without disturbing them more than necessary. It washes at normal care laundry temperatures and spare panels are available.
