Plenty of clients want the help without the hospital look. The timber frame Revolution Chair puts the patented swivel and slide mechanism inside an ordinary timber dining chair, so it sits at the family table without announcing itself.
The seat turns to face the person as they come to sit, takes their weight, then swivels back towards the table. A lever then lets the seat slide forward so they finish up close to the table edge with their feet under them. The legs never move, so the chair stays stable through the whole sequence and the floor stays unmarked.
It is a sensible option for someone with reduced hip range, poor balance on turning, or a shoulder they cannot push off with, and for the carer who has been lifting and shoving a heavy chair twice a day.
