About this product

A child who can push a wheelchair should be able to get themselves to the bathroom too. This paediatric shower commode carries large rear wheels, so the child self propels into the shower or over the toilet and keeps the independence they have everywhere else.

Who it suits

Children with usable upper limb strength who need a wet area chair and want to keep doing the routine themselves, plus a carer who can step in when needed through the push handle at the back. The narrow seat width keeps the chair manageable in a home bathroom.

Arms swing up for a side transfer and the footrests swing away, lift off and adjust for height as the child grows. The stainless steel frame handles constant wetting, front castors lock so the chair holds position over the pan, and the three strap backrest dries fast and gives clear access for a sling. It is independently tested to the Australian and New Zealand shower commode standard, and it takes the removable seat system.
