The 1640 is a full size mobile hoist for daily transfers at home or in a care service. Supplied here with a swivel hook, it is set up to carry the Handi-Move Body Support, and it also takes Handi-Move slings.
Legroom under the mast is generous, so a client’s legs are not pushed back during the lift, and the low chassis on swivel castors slides under beds and chairs. The base width adjusts while the client is in the air, which is how you get around a wheelchair or into a tight bathroom. The handle is shaped for steering with a load on.
A digital scale can be added, so a weight can be taken during a routine transfer, useful for clients whose care plan tracks weight. Mechanical emergency lowering is standard and the hoist comes apart for transport between sites. The charger is not supplied in this configuration.
