Gentle rocking settles people. The Broda glider gives a client that motion in a chair that also supports their posture, which makes it useful in dementia care, acquired brain injury and for clients who become distressed when they are still.
The auto locking mechanism holds the chair steady as the client sits down and stands up, so the glide cannot run away underneath them at the riskiest moment. Carers can also lock it out entirely when the chair is being used for a meal or for care. Broda’s tension seating supports the body across the whole surface and lets air move through it, which helps for long sitting periods.
This is the small adult size, and the arm supports are height adjustable. Rear transport wheels let one carer move it between rooms.
