This fixed rod sets the x:panda back rest at ninety degrees and holds it there. It suits a client for whom an upright back is the prescribed position and any movement in the back would work against the setup, whether that is because of the trunk shape being accommodated or because reclining triggers an unhelpful pattern.
A fixed rod also removes a variable from daily handling. Carers and school staff cannot change the back angle by accident, so the client goes into the same position every morning and the clinical work stays intact between reviews.
Fitted to the x:panda back frame in place of the adjustable rod.
