This is the taller shell in the JAY Encompass range, for clients who need support carried well up the trunk: a client with poor head and neck control, significant trunk weakness, or one who spends long periods tilted back and needs the upper body contained.
The contoured aluminium shell carries adjustable lateral thoracic supports that swing away for transfers, so a carer can get the client in and out without unbolting anything. Once seated, the laterals close in and hold the trunk where you set them.
Who it suits
Foam inserts come in different thicknesses and densities and can be layered, so you build the contour around the client’s actual shape. The AirExchange cover helps with heat where the back is in full contact. Headrest mounting is available where head support is part of the picture.
