A footbox is the answer when a client’s feet need to be contained. This one mounts across both footplates and forms a solid enclosure, so feet that pull back, drop off the plate or catch on obstacles stay inside the chair footprint during transport and transfers.
The shell is resilient ABS that holds its shape after knocks, which matters on a chair that spends its life against doorframes and kerbs. A slotted base means you can set the position at fitting and move it again later without drilling fresh holes.
Inside, a vinyl covered closed cell foam insert takes the contact points and wipes clean, so it copes with everyday spills and shared use. Split versions allow each foot to be set independently where leg length or tone is asymmetric.
