This is the control unit for the OSKA Aria+ hybrid mattress, sold on its own so the mattress can start life as a static air and foam surface and be upgraded when the client’s risk changes. Connected to the pump, the Aria+ becomes an active alternating pressure care mattress.
The pump monitors interface pressure and adjusts itself, so carers are not setting pressures by weight or checking a chart. There is no static mode, which sounds like a limitation and is the opposite: there is nothing to switch off before a transfer and nothing to forget to switch back on afterwards. It runs quietly enough for a bedroom and draws very little power.
Prescribe it for clients already on an Aria+ whose pressure injury risk has increased, or specify it with a new Aria+ where alternating therapy is needed from day one.
Good to know
- Pump only: the Aria+ mattress is sold separately in single and king single
- Belongs to the OSKA Aria+ range; check compatibility before pairing it with any other OSKA mattress
- No assembly, connects to the mattress and plugs in
