About this product

Most folding chairs ask the user to accept a softer ride in exchange for fitting in a car. The Helio A7 is built to narrow that gap. The 7005 T6 aluminium unibody frame and symmetrical hydroformed crossbrace give the response of a rigid chair while still folding down for the boot, the hall cupboard or a flight.

For someone who self propels every day and loads their own chair, the weight is what makes or breaks independence. Pull the wheels and armrests off and what is left is light enough for most users or a family member to lift without a struggle, and the flip back convertible armrests make side transfers straightforward. The anti flutter castor system keeps the front end settled at speed.

Every chair is built to the prescription, with seat width and depth, seat to floor heights, back height and angle and camber all set to the script.

Who it suits

Full time manual wheelchair users with good upper limb function who need an efficient, low weight chair and who transfer the chair into a vehicle themselves or with a family member. It is a scripted chair, so it is prescribed by an OT or physio after a seating assessment rather than chosen off the shelf.
