The Freedom Toilet Pan Surround is a frame with two angled handles that stands around the toilet. There is no seat, lid or pan, so the client keeps using the existing toilet at its normal height and simply gains firm support on both sides for sitting down and standing up.
The handles are angled to give a strong push at the point where a stand is hardest, and the height adjusts to bring them to the right level for the client. The frame is aluminium with non slip tips and is light enough to lift aside. That makes it a good fit for households where the toilet is shared and nobody wants a fitting left on the pan.
It suits clients who can manage the standard toilet height but need bilateral arm support to control the descent and to push up, for example after a fall, with early stage weakness or reduced balance.
