The Cura1 2629 is the bed exit pad for situations where a cable is not welcome. It sits on top of the mattress and signals a Cura1 monitor or pager the moment the person gets out of bed, with nothing running across the floor to trip over.
The 2719 Cordless Pad Transmitter fits inside the pad and sends the signal by radio, which changes what a carer can do with their night. Instead of sitting within earshot of a bedside monitor, they carry a pager and get on with other work or sleep in another room. The cover is non-allergenic soft PVC and wipes clean between residents, and the sensing area is sized to catch normal movement to the edge of the bed rather than only a full exit.
It suits clients who leave bed unassisted and are at risk of falling, in home care, supported accommodation or aged care. Choose it over the corded 2626 pad wherever the monitor cannot sit at the bedside or where a lead would be a hazard in its own right. Plan replacement on a twelve month cycle, as the pad has a rated operational life.
