Spex Quad Mount Fixed gives the lateral stability of a four point mount to a client who has no reason to take the back off the chair. The back angle is set and stays set, the back support cannot be removed without tools, and what you get in return is a lighter, simpler mount with nothing on it that can be knocked out of position.
Seat depth still adjusts at fitting, and further again with the depth extension accessory, so there is room to fine tune depth at review without paying for an angle mechanism the client will never use. Overall width adjusts enough to line the hardware up with the canes, and it fits the common cane diameters.
Safe working load varies with the size of back support fitted, and it is lower with narrow backs, so check the figure that applies to the size you are prescribing rather than assuming the headline number.
