Tear-Aid Type B patches are the repair for vinyl and vinyl coated surfaces, which is what air cell cushions, mattress overlays and a lot of other equipment upholstery is made from.
Ordinary adhesives fail on vinyl because the oils in the material break the bond down over time, leaving a patch that lifts weeks later. The Type B adhesive carries an inhibitor that blocks those oils, so a repair made today holds. The patch is clear, flexible, airtight and watertight, and it goes on without heat or glue.
For a therapist or a facility, having patches on hand means a punctured surface comes back into service the same day, so the client is not left without their prescribed equipment. Cut to size with scissors and apply to a clean dry surface.
