Who it suits
Clients who can take some weight through their legs but cannot stand and turn safely on their own. This is the compact Invacare ISA stand assist lifter with manual leg spread, made for homes and bathrooms where a full size hoist will not fit or will not turn.
Standing transfers keep the client’s legs loaded and their trunk active, which is worth preserving for as long as they have it. The ISA supports that with a swivelling lower leg support that adjusts in height, a footplate with an anti slip surface and a removable heel block, and a telescopic lifting arm that sets to different lengths so the arc of the stand matches the client’s height.
The curved legs are shaped to pass around chair bases and toilet pedestals, and the push bar sits at a comfortable height for the carer. It comes apart without tools, so it can go in a car between sites.
