Toileting a client with a double lower limb amputation is one of the harder transfers to do well. This sling is cut for that job: it holds the trunk and pelvis securely and leaves the perineal area clear, so a carer can manage clothing and hygiene while the client stays supported in the hoist.
Arm cushioning keeps the client comfortable through the part of the transfer that takes the longest, and the shape is designed to stop the client sliding forward once the legs are not there to hold position.
It attaches to a four point clip spreader bar and works across the passive lifter range. Because a toileting sling is used several times a day, it is built for repeated hot washing and carries a stated service life, so put it on a replacement schedule and do not wait for wear to show.
Sizes are limited on this shape.
