Infection control is the reason this sling exists. The Arjo Flites disposable clip sling is assigned to one patient and stays with them, so a sling is never the thing moving organisms between clients in a ward, a residential facility or a home with shared carers.
It is a full body sling with head support and four point clip attachment, for assisted transfers of a passive client who needs full support in a seated or semi reclined position. It works with Arjo passive lifters fitted with a clip spreader bar, including the Dynamic Positioning System bar where the carer adjusts the client between upright and reclined without handling them to do it.
Because it is single use, there is no laundry to chase and no sling waiting to come back from reprocessing. When it is soiled, damaged or the client is discharged, it is disposed of.
