The Cougar 10 is a mid wheel drive powerchair for a client who spends most of the day in the chair and needs it to work inside the house as well as out on the footpath. Driving from the centre wheels gives a tight turning circle, so the chair turns on the spot in a kitchen or a bathroom doorway.
Seating is the reason to look at it. The seat adjusts for height and angle, the back is contoured with a headrest, the armrests lift out of the way for a side transfer and the footrest folds up to clear the feet for standing. That adjustability means a clinician can set the chair up to a client’s measurements at handover and change it again as things change.
Finger controls with high and low speed settings let you limit the chair while a new user builds skill, and tie down points are built in for vehicle transport.
