Children grow, and a back that cannot grow with them gets abandoned. The Axiom for Kids AL is built for that problem: a formed aluminium shell with adjustable lateral pads that mount at the trunk or the hips, so you can move support as a child’s shape and posture change through the year.
Pads are interchangeable, and you can choose fixed or swing away mounting depending on whether transfers matter more than a locked position. The shell fits wheelchairs a size either side of its nominal width, which gives you room to move when a chair is replaced before the back is. Foam density is lighter than adult stock, which suits smaller bodies and lower loading.
The Dex for Kids mounting hardware comes standard with a lockout latch so the back cannot come off the posts accidentally. Covers are breathable and wipe clean, and lift off for washing.
